Accidentally stumbled upon this little medieval laneway today in the heart of #Wexford Town. It's known as Keyser's Lane; deriving from Old Norse meaning ‘lane to the quays’. Many of the old Norse towns of Ireland contain either a street/lane/hill with the word 'Keyser' in it.
St. Moling's Holy Well is located in the historic ecclesiastical village of St. Mullins, #Carlow. The well is first referenced in the year 1348; in those days, thousands would flock to the well to wash away their sins and seek protection from the black plague.
