Recorded my first #podcast today! Excellent experience. If you're a #veteran and an #entrepreneur or considering becoming one as you #transition, go connect with George on LinkedIn!
I'll post here when the podcast airs.

This guide was developed to help shorten your manager-to-employee communication learning curve. It helps them build trust from day 1. It helps them prepare for hard conversations that literally NO ONE likes having. I'm betting it will help your people too.

A lot of new managers blow it pretty quickly. Not because they’re bad; obviously you promoted them for a reason.
It's more-so because they nitpick, they hoard info, or they try too hard to prove themselves.
I’ve watched it. And it hurt to see every time.
When you coach your newly promoted managers, what's the biggest one or two things you tell them to help them succeed?

For those of you trying to effectively and efficiently use #AI to #dev or #vibecode projects (for professional or personal use), and it goes off the rails? Or it dies 3 continuity threads in?
I see you.
I feel you.
I empathize.
I built a system that brings it from this exact scenario to 90-95% context retention across both threads and agents.
It was NOT easy. It still breaks on occasion, but I'll take the improvement over the previous workflow any day of the week.
This isn't a sales pitch (my system isn't for sale), but if you'd like to know how to help make your code sessions dramatically better, message me or ask below!

How far in on your business are you? (Startup? Year 2?)
At this stage, what are you tracking (metrics, actions, etc.) that tell you what is bringing in cash and what isn't?
Or are you a little guilty of watching "vanity metrics", like likes, shares, and follows, praying that the "exposure" is going to bring you business?

@ThePeterMick Hey Peter, sorry, I'm coming back to X after quite a long time. I commented on your "Pitch your startup" post, but I don't see it. I didn't want to reply again. Is the comment just in moderation? Sorry for the hassle...

It’s similar to the shower effect. Relaxed mind, a little dopamine, the brain can start to process the hard thinking…
That half-sleep period is supposedly when you can really implant pattern changes also. Like playing self-help loops or mantras. The key is to be awake enough to keep ahold of it.
Yesterday, I put out a call for testers for a project I'm working on. Here's what it looks like in action! (If you are interested after seeing this, I need 5 folks!)
Smarter Social Post is web-based, secure, has no real limitations, clean... I could go on and on.
Who is this for?
- People sick of wasting time re-creating UTM links because you never actually captured them anywhere
- People sick of being throttled on shortening URLs
- People sick of bouncing from tool to tool to do UTMs, then shorteners, then QR codes...
- People sick of accidentally posting their *draft* social media posts while composing them for length
- People sick of guessing which day they should post on what platform
- Teams who want to standardize and consolidate their UTMs (ease of tracking)
- People and teams who want a simple, light, full-control post scheduling system
- People who just want a quick spreadsheet of all their UTMs, posts, etc., they can export (or in this case, just copy and paste!)
- People who want to work Smarter. And cheaper.

Serious question.
For the small business owners out there, who do you go to when you have a problem?
Do you have a trusted partner?
Do you try to find solutions via internet search or, now, AI?
Something else?

Looking for 5 people, preferably bloggers or people starting affiliate marketing sites / social media accounts who would be willing to help me test a new tool---Smarter Social Post.
I'll get a more thorough 1-pager together this week, but in a nutshell, here's what it is/does:
- UTM Builder (without hard limits, other than anti-spam features)
- URL Shortener ('Smarter' branded; customizable slugs)
- QR Code Builder (automatic when the UTM is generated)
- UTM Log (automatic; uses Google Sheets as the log)
- Social Media Post Composer (Draft social post text on the same screen as the UTM/Short URL builder, keep track of character counts per platform, log SM post drafts on same Google sheet as the UTM)
- Social Post Calendar (Develop your social media content calendar in a simple way; visually lay out your content calendar, fill gaps, and stop guessing when things should be posted!)
You own and control all your content. No worries about accidentally posting or running into scheduling errors in your Social Media native composers. You build your posts in the Smarter Social Post composer and save them to the log, set your post schedule on the calendar, then it's a simple copy and paste on the day your post is scheduled for.
Keep track of your UTMs, so you don't keep creating them for the same URLs over and over again. 100% standardized for Google Analytics tracking (or whatever other tool you use).
The best part? You own the tool!
No subscriptions. No limits. Not ad supported. Not a 'Freemium' tool. The shortener URL is 'Smarter' branded, but your content is 100% yours!
You get a copy of the tool for free when launched as thanks for your help.
DM me if interested! First come, first served.

@hthieblot This weekend was a supplemental logbook for my Employee Communication Guide for New Managers. Just waiting on Amazon's approval.
Today, I'm working on finishing up the Smarter Freelance Timekeeper. Good times.
Ok, this is about another partnership I recently started back up. I know we all love to talk coffee on LI, but some folks aren't a fan. I get it.
If you're more of an energy drink person, I've been sponsored by Dubby Energy for quite a long time. I recently changed up my partner program to realign with Smarter You Media.
Use code SMARTERYOU at checkout for 10% off. https://t.co/qVKjJWF3Af
Honestly, I prefer coffee, but that's just me. I will say this, Dubby has some amazing flavors. If I didn't prefer hot drinks, I would use these guys over a couple other huge energy companies, hands down. No jitter, no crash, and how in the hell they make some of their cream-based flavors is absolutely beyond me. The mouthfeel is fantastic!
Give them a try.
This has been an extremely exciting last few days. This week's going to be busy also! Here's what you may have missed:
1. The Employee Communication Guide for New Managers is popular! There's a hell of a lot of value and 'shaving of the learning curve' packed in this one. Help your managers build trust and communicate with their teams effectively! https://t.co/MQh5IlbUMY
2. There's a supplemental Manager Communication Logbook pending approval and will be available for download (to print) on the SYS website and via Amazon this week for the printed desk addition. (Links coming soon.)
3. I'm going to be participating in a podcast soon! Talking hashtag#veteran hashtag#transition into hashtag#entrepreneurship. This one will be fun!
4. I've done a price drop on the Smarter Meeting Cost Calculator plugins. These have been popular overseas, but I want to make them more accessible for the US market. (Use the shop link above.)
5. I've got a couple partnerships in the works with school colleagues and alma mater staff. The Communication and KPI series' look to be expanding soon. You'll want to watch these tools.
6. I'm drafting an AI use-case based on one of my consulting clients (developing now). I'm using his startup as my inaugural Smarter Blog article for the new #AI section. This one is a must-read.
7. Much more in the works on the development roadmap--which I promise is coming to the SYS site soon. Tools will span cashflow (interest rates and utilities) and logistics (my bread and butter). Keep an eye out for announcements.
8. See the first comment!
