Been thinking about the new IPL retention rules.

If first retention has to be at 18 Cr, several teams - perhaps PBKS the most clear-cut example - will have to overpay for first retention to open up other retention slots.

Could some teams just keep 2 uncapped players only?

If I had to choose, I’d go with Shashank Singh and Harpreet Brar, provided they agree to the INR 4 crore retention. This way, we will lose only eight crore and enter the auction with a healthy INR of 112 crore. #IPLRetentions #PBKS
