Dear @PoliceNG
I wish to "openly complain" and draw your attention to the violent attacks on a peaceful PDP consultative meeting in Calabar South today.
Gunmen disrupted the meeting at the palace of Etubom Nyong Edet Okon I, shooting three (3) persons who are now hospitalized, and also attacked vehicles at the African Club venue, stealing cameras, phones and drones.
This is an attack on our constitutional right to peaceful political association as a party. I am calling on the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG and the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, to urgently investigate this matter, identify the perpetrators, bring them to justice, and ensure adequate security to prevent further violence.
We must not allow politics to turn into violence and please be informed that our youths are furious about this dehumanising treatment, they are boiling.
With utmost due respect to everyone copied, No one has monopoly of madness and how much longer can we really hold down our youths from reacting?
Once again I plead that all relevant security agencies mentioned act and bring to book perpetrators of this beastly act.

2025 tested the resilience of the entire energy sector. NNPC Limited responded with focus, discipline, and delivery.
We closed the year with a Profit After Tax of โฆ7.2tn, up 33%, on revenue of โฆ34.5tn, with EPS up 32% to โฆ35.90.
Revenue softened by 24%, reflecting lower crude oil prices and reduced white product volumes after petrol price deregulation in October 2024 removed our bulk-breaking role. Even so, remittances to government continued to rise, a clear demonstration of the value we continue to create for the nation. Operational strength held firm too: EBITDA up 22% to โฆ18.0tn, operating cash flow up 16% to โฆ12.8tn.
Beyond the numbers: converting Nigeria's hydrocarbon wealth into electricity, industry, jobs, and fiscal stability. Building a stronger energy future for Nigeria and beyond.
The key highlights, at a glance.

Why do we keep pretending school bullying is someone elseโs problem?
After documenting the post-2021 waves of bullying and the human cost of fear, silence, and trauma, one truth stands out: Nigeria has no shortage of evidence. What we lack is honesty.
Here are the hard questions that refuse to let us look away. They are designed to spark debate, discomfort, and โ ideally โ action.
On Memory and Accountability
1. If Sylvester Oromoniโs death in 2021 was truly a national turning point, why do viral videos of school assaults still surface in 2024, 2025, and 2026 with almost the same public reaction โ outrage, temporary closures, then silence?
2. When a child dies amid allegations of bullying and the official process ends without systemic reform, what message does that send to the next potential victim sitting in a hostel tonight?
On Schools and Institutions
3. Why do so many prestigious and private schools only take decisive action after a video goes viral, rather than when the first parent complains or the first junior student reports intimidation?
4. If โseniorityโ culture is defended as tradition or character-building, at what exact point does it become institutionalised violence that schools are willing to protect for the sake of reputation?
5. How many more expulsions and temporary shutdowns will it take before schools invest in permanent, confidential reporting systems that students actually trust?
