Of the 'transwomen' in UK prisons, the proportion who are in prison for sexual offences is higher than the proportion of other men who are.

It’s been very interesting seeing how many people don’t understand how the law works. Including numerous politicians.

The government can’t do anything about the Code of Practice. As numerous people have explained ad nauseam, the CoP simply helps service providers, associations and those overseeing public functions comply with the law.

The law which, by the way, protects the rights and dignity of women and LGB people.

The law in question is the Equality Act, as explained by the highest court in the land.

Non-compliance will lead to more lawsuits, which those who don’t want to comply with the law will lose - with or without the CoP.

What you want - clearly - is self-ID. That would require a new law to passed by parliament.

That will never happen.
Most people don’t want it.
