i find myself installing 1〜5 apps everyday for some years and it's not usual for others. i want to work with app freaks who know more than me about what is important for creating awesome apps.
this is why we've been built 4 social apps before and so we don't start this app because Zenly announced it's gonna end the service.
big love and respect to Zenly team.
i'll write about this more in detail someday.
i want to say i really respect Zenly app and the team. 3years ago i started our company to create better app than Zenly. i'm still a heavy user of Zenly, but i've been thinking i want better one. i wanna stay connected with friends not only sharing location but more.
we are building a real-time social app. it's kind of Zenly alternative right now, but it's not just a location sharing app. you'll see where friends are and what they are doing, and what songs they are listening to on Spotify, etc. for now we removed those things to focus on
Zenly users can feel the Now app is the best alternative clearly, but we'll add them soon.
we are building it for about a year. finally we started shipping it.
now I'm trying to design Haptic Identity of our app. I think Haptic Feedback works for these things.
1. how users feel the object they are touching
2. how users feel the action they are doing
3. how users feel the identity of the app
2. importance of the actions
users can learn how the actions are important by the strength of HapticFeedback. when they feel strong HapticFeedback, they can notice they should check it out. so design HapticFeedback caring about the strength suit to the importance of the action.
