Once again we have some isolated dense fog out there tonight, mainly up in Monroe County and near the lakeshore. Beware fluctuating visibility levels through early Monday morning, especially in rural areas.
Highs in the 70s through Halloween, except for Tuesday (thanks Lake Erie). Also, rainfall totals with any showers Thursday night look to be 1/4" or less. Halloween is shaping up to be VERY NICE this year, then after the clocks go back we'll get into a rainier and cooler pattern.
BAD NEWS: Those 5pm sunsets that no one likes are back next Sunday.
*Said in the voice of Rodney Dangerfield* But hey, an extra hour of sleep right?? 🙄
President Donald Trump escalated his attacks against Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed on Sunday with rhetoric that questioned the Muslim candidate’s loyalties to the U.S. and repeatedly tried to tie him to extremism, claims the Democrat has repeatedly denied and denounced. Story at the link in our bio.
FIRST ALERT: Mainly dry through Halloween, but we are eyeing a chance for some light showers Thursday night (totals likely under 1/4"). Then, a much more active pattern arrives for the start of November.
LOCALIZED DENSE FOG: Not as widespread as the last 2 nights, but we do have some patchy dense fog out there this evening, mainly up in Monroe County. More of this hit-or-miss dense fog is possible through the night and into Sunday morning, so be careful if you'll be out driving.
WARM, SUNNY, AND MAINLY DRY FOR THE REST OF OCTOBER:
This nice stretch of weather will continue through Halloween, along with temps that are 10 to 15 degrees above normal. Then, after we turn the clocks back one hour next weekend, we look to enter a rainier and cooler pattern.
Enjoy this dry and sunny weather while we have it! I'm eyeing a BIG pattern change as the month of November begins. Right now I'm forecasting little to no rain through Halloween, then the first few days of November could be quite rainy and maybe windy too, including Election Day.
NO SNOW FOR HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR!
It'll be trick-or-treat time exactly one week from now. Currently, our local Halloween forecast is mainly dry with partly to mostly cloudy skies, not much wind, and afternoon highs near 70°. So, temps should drop into the 60s during the evening.
FIRST ALERT: Patchy dense fog tonight into Sunday morning, but not as widespread as the past couple nights. Plus, we're looking mainly dry through Halloween... then November could start on a rainy note.
Dense fog will provide some bonus camouflage Saturday morning. Bright sunny skies are expected for the afternoon and evening once the fog fades away, plus there will be little to no wind all day.
FIRST ALERT: More dense fog will form this evening, initially near the lakeshore around sunset before pushing inland as we go through the night. Low visibility is possible in Toledo before midnight, then just like today, that dense fog could linger through lunchtime tomorrow.
