This is totally speculation on my part, but wouldn't it be crazy if one of the whistleblowers in the Gavin Newsom investigation was Michael Redding, husband of Gav's "Swiss Army Knife" and former deputy chief of staff (and rumored paramour), Lindsey Cobia?

Redding is a Harvard-trained attorney who was an AUSA in CA's Eastern District until he joined Bonta's office in 2021, then became a member of Newsom's cabinet... just about a year ago.

My thoughts on this are the same as my thoughts re the previous San Francisco athlete speech controversy (Kaepernick).

1. It's not a 1A problem, obviously, it's a private employer.
2. The "heart" issue for the rest of us is the same. Why are you so invested in wanting to see a private employer punish someone for speech you don't like that doesn't actually affect you in any way?

We don't all agree. Stop expecting that everyone not only share your specific views but also genuflect in exactly the prescribed manner or be fired for offending your fragile psyche.
