CAM HIGBY AND JAMES O’KEEFE CHARGED WITH FELONIES IN MINNESOTA

Conservative influencers Cam Higby and James O’Keefe have both been charged with felony identity theft and unlawful voting in Hennepin County following their August 11 stunt at Minnesota polling locations.

According to prosecutors, the two disguised themselves in Muslim clothing, used fake accents and impersonated registered Minnesota voters without their knowledge or permission while attempting to demonstrate vulnerabilities in the state’s election system.

The pair filmed their encounters and published the footage online, claiming they were exposing potential voter fraud.

Neither man actually cast a ballot, but prosecutors say Minnesota law prohibits misrepresenting your identity when applying for one, regardless of whether a vote is ultimately cast.

Higby previously defended the stunt as journalism intended to test election security. Both men are scheduled to appear in court in November.

The charges were announced Wednesday, October 28, by Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty
