#hsop2013 I think that robots are great technology to use for harmful drugs. It helps protect the staff and ensure accuracy for patients.

#hsop2013 Do all machines work with all vials? Do you have to have a certain brand of vials for the specific robot?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 The problem I have with the scriptpro machine is that it does not put a top on the vial. It is a problem if knocked over.

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 I have found that the scriptpro cells do not hold many tablets or capsules and have to be refilled constantly. Anyone else?

#hsop2013 Since there are moving parts, is there a problem with grease and oil leakage on the medicine robots interact with?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 Is the helpmate really worth the money if it goes so slow? It seems like a technician can be more productive for the cost.

#hsop2013 Are the dispensing robots affordable for independent pharmacies or are they something only chains and hospitals can afford?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 What happens if ATM drug machines crash in the middle of transactions? If it displays patient info, is that a HIPAA violation?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 We had a small Kirby counter at the pharmacy I worked at over the summer. It was awesome and helped speed the counting process!

#hsop2013 The problem my pharmacy has with Dr. calls on the IVR is hang ups. We get at least 10 blank messages a day. Does anyone else?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

@13au0100 #hsop2013 Did you find that the machine went down frequently or did it increase the efficiency of the pharmacy?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 I know that Mckesson helps its independent pharmacies connect with robot manufacturers to rent or buy. Anyone know of others?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

@13au0097 #hsop2013 I know that most of the Rite Aid Stores have robots if they average over 1600-1800 scripts per week. Do any others?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 I have worked in a pharmacy where the robot fills around 60% of the prescriptions. It took a lot of the workload off of the staff

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 I work in pharmacies both with and without scriptpros and found that ones without them are more proficient. Has anyone else?

[13au0136 @13au0136]

#hsop2013 I have found that prada machines are more reliable than scriptpro machines. Has anyone else experienced this?
