@RightGIF Would honestly love to buy you a beer at some point. I've installed RightGif everywhere I've worked since 2016, and zealously defended the `/gif` command against the encroachment of *shudder* Tenor gif keyboard.

I wonder if they cut the Mapes scene down a bit? It was generally so good on the details, while admirably resisting the urge to bury the audience in exposition. Loved the camera dwelling on the bull’s head, and the old duke’s portrait.

@BRKeogh There are one or two things I’m sad we didn’t get to see; the Atreides dinner party in Arrakeen, Jessica in the conservatory, and the subplot about the baron sowing suspicion of Jessica.

Notwithstanding, Arrakeen will forever look like that in my head, now. That was stunning.

@philpax_ Main thing I want (which Yabai sometimes even gives me) is “don’t make me work to keep the things I care about simultaneously visible,” ie. as much as possible, I just want to tell it which things I need to have side by side (by sending them to a space) & get sensible defaults.

@philpax_ Sounds cool, but seamless zooming aside, would this really be all that different to standard MacOS window management?
Your little groups of arbitrarily resizeable windows sound awfully like spaces, and I can already zoom out to see all, shuffle them around, switch between etc.

Even just that family fight scene with the Baldwins (when Kelly decides to go to Annapolis) was a great and harrowing piece of drama.

The scene earlier in the season where the Baldwins fight over Kelly going to Annapolis? Fuck, I don’t think we breathed for the duration. Devastatingly good drama. Cynthy Wu completely kills it.

I took up blacksmithing as a hobby recently; been designing and forging some small and simple designs.
This is a work-in-progress headphone stand (see finished example). I can’t get over how cool it is that I made this shape by “heating steel and hitting it with a hammer (lots)”
