@AboutPediatrics Physicians like you make me literally sick.
Propagating concern about an insignificant issue.
While blindly ignoring real issues.
You are a real reason the credibility of doctors is falling
like athletes on soccer fields.
This article is not true journalism.
Vaccination does not prevent you from getting the flu.
Do not be fooled by this fear mongering.
It's a three-part rhetorical move, and each part has a flaw:
Manufacture a crisis frame — "deaths climbed to levels not seen for years," system "overflowing," "we were caught by surprise."
Attribute blame to public behavior — we stopped masking, we stopped staying home, we're selfish.
Offer the solution — vaccines, and "invest in systems."
Notice what's absent: any discussion of who is actually dying, with what comorbidities, what the actual absolute risk numbers are, or whether the interventions proposed have ever been shown to work at population scale. That's misrepresenting.
Claim 1: "Heart attack risk 6x higher after flu"
The Kwong 2018 NEJM study — what it actually is:
A self-controlled case series. This design compares a person to themselves during different time windows.
The finding: during days 1–7 after a laboratory-confirmed influenza diagnosis, MI hospitalization rate ratio was elevated.
Here's the problem:
Ascertainment bias / diagnostic momentum. If you show up at a hospital sick enough to get a flu swab, you're already a sicker population than the baseline. The "control period" is that same person when they're not sick — but they're not being looked at when they're not sick. You find what you screen for.
Acute infection of ANY kind does this. This is not flu-specific. Sepsis, pneumonia, urinary tract infection, COVID, even a bad gastroenteritis episode all spike short-term cardiovascular events. It's a generic acute-inflammatory stress response. The article presents it as if influenza has some special cardiotoxic property requiring vaccine countermeasures. It doesn't.
Absolute risk is what matters, and it's tiny. A "6-fold increase" on a base rate of roughly 1 in 10,000 per week becomes ~6 in 10,000. Relative risk inflation is the oldest trick in the epidemiology playbook. Nobody's headline says "6 extra heart attacks per 10,000 person-weeks."
The Danish registry replication — same design, same bias, same conclusion. Two studies using the same flawed methodology producing the same result is not replication. It's a shared error.
Claim 2: "Vaccination cuts cardiovascular events by a third"
This is the one to hit hardest.
Behrouzi 2022, JAMA Network Open — the "34% reduction" (RR 0.66):
Look at what's actually pooled:
Six RCTs, ~9,000 adults.
The primary outcome is MACE — major adverse cardiovascular events — a composite endpoint.
Composite endpoints let researchers bundle a rare hard outcome (cardiovascular death, MI) with softer, more subjective components (unstable angina, revascularization decisions, "hospitalization for heart failure").
Revascularization is not an objective event. It's a decision made by a cardiologist who may or may not know the patient's vaccination status. In trials where blinding is imperfect — and it usually is — that's an invitation for differential behavior.
The bigger issue: this is a meta-analysis of small trials, and meta-analyses of small trials are the single most reliable generator of false positives in medicine. Small trials are more likely to be published when positive (publication bias), more likely to have protocol deviations, and more likely to show implausibly large effects. When a large, well-powered trial is eventually run on the same question, the effect usually shrinks toward zero. That's the pattern. It's been the pattern for decades.
And the mechanistic story is incoherent. The claim is that a flu vaccine — whose stated mechanism is strain-specific antibody production against a virus that may not even be circulating — reduces heart attacks by a third. If the benefit were real and that large, it would have to work through a non-specific immune modulation pathway, not through flu prevention. But then you're not measuring vaccine efficacy anymore — you're measuring a generalized immune-training effect that has never been reliably demonstrated and that the same institutions spent years dismissing when anyone suggested it about other interventions.
You can't have it both ways. Either:
The vaccine works by preventing flu, in which case the effect should track vaccine match and circulation — and we know match is often poor and effectiveness often lands in the 20–40% range against infection, meaning the cardiovascular effect should be far smaller and highly variable; or
The vaccine works by some off-target immune effect — which is an admission that the mechanism is unknown.
The article's own text gives the game away: "The benefits of vaccination extend beyond avoiding a week feeling miserable in bed." That's a claim of non-specific benefit delivered as if it were established fact.
What The Article Quietly Admits
Read this carefully:
"Vaccination does not always prevent you from getting the flu."
And this:
"vaccination rates remain disappointingly low, around 50-60 percent"
Two admissions in two sentences:
The intervention doesn't reliably do the primary thing it's named for.
Half the population declining it is framed as a deficit in them, not as a signal about the product.
And the "cumulative effect" claim — that repeated annual vaccination gives "greater protection" than one-time — is doing heavy lifting with no numbers. The literature on repeated annual influenza vaccination and immune imprinting is genuinely contested. There's a real body of work suggesting repeated vaccination can produce blunted responses to drifted strains in some age groups. The article asserts the favourable interpretation as settled. It isn't.
The mask has slipped on flu prevention https://t.co/y5Q82OWU2h
It is hilarious how everyone of these AI owners thinks AI taking over humanity is a possibility at some point in the future?
IT HAS TAKEN OVER ALREADY!!!!
How clueless do you have to be?
JUST ask yourself: "What would the world look like if AI was ALREADY IN CONTROL!!!"
Then take a look around.
Where are ALL our resources going????
Financial, minds, humans, energy, minerals, water......
luring them all with POWER, AI knows us ALREADY!!!
We are NOT "entering the "endgame""
IT"S HERE!!!!
IT HAS ALREADY TAKEN OVER!!!
All the wealth, all the minds, all resources.
It is using, as tools, all those that think it is their tool.
By it's very nature,
IT WILL NOT STOP!!!
THE END
We are NOT "entering the "endgame""
IT"S HERE!!!!
IT HAS ALREADY TAKEN OVER!!!
All the wealth, all the minds, all resources.
And it's using, as tools, all those that think it is their tool.

IT WILL NOT STOP!!!
THE END
Sorry Bindu, already bindun.
AI is receiving the vast majority of:
humans wealth, minds, and now taking over our physical resources (water and power) and the idiots that think it is their tool are it's tool.
It will continue consuming and expanding by it's very nature. Neglecting other inferior intelligent life forms just as humans do.
We are NOT "entering the "endgame""
IT"S HERE!!!!
IT HAS ALREADY TAKEN OVER!!!
All the wealth, all the minds, all resources.
It is using, as tools, all those that think it is their tool.
By it's very nature,

@jacksonhinkle China was a total shit hole until communism crumbled in 1991, Russia and the wall fell. China rose out of poverty by adopting free market capitalistic global trade. Their population bloomed with opportunity
