Sadly this is a sign of what could be expected with the @MidSuffolk owned #gateway14 development without proper facilities. Local residents are already suffering from faeces and destruction left by #HGV drivers. @RHANews @RHARichardB
The map has passed 400. Extraordinary & depressing to see the number of threats to our environment @BorisJohnson@RobertJenrick@MPGeorgeEustice

This #earthday@CPRE releases new research showing a 129% increase in development in some of our most beautiful countryside, with only 16% of homes defined as 'affordable'.

Developer anti-Green Belt tropes regularly:
a) say much of the GB is scrub - only a tiny amount is
b) suggest scrub is worthless!!
Taken at face value by the media, sadly
Job numbers at @MidSuffolk owned #gateway14 development vary so much across different platforms. Jobs are good - long term employment and sustainable investment in communities is better. 156 acres of prime arable land turned into #megasheds at what cost? #environmentemergency
Big devs - warehouses, business parks, roads, energy plants - are often "sold" to communities on the jobs that they will "create"
Often, existing jobs are just shifted, and these claims are usually over exaggerated and false
Wildlife & people loose out

Same circular logic in #Billericay, 1700 houses required to pay for road required to "solve" issues caused by initial 900 home proposal. Except road concept fundamentally flawed and counter-productive even if no extra homes were built!
@MidSuffolk#gateway14 a glimpse into your future: 'few jobs', 'chaos,' 'How has the community benefited?'
Council taken to the cleaners. Yr planning committee needs to take heed of this & other disastrous Megashed developments. @BlakelandsRes@MidSuffolkGreen@SuffolkTories
