I don’t really have much of a support system irl so I’m coming here just to get it out. Sorry if this brings anyone’s mood down, I don’t mean to be depressing during tour.

My dad was diagnosed with skin cancer today. This is really heavy for me and I feel overwhelmed. The people I thought I could lean on are disappointing me through all this and more. There’s a lot I’m realizing about my friendships lately. And I’m really, really sad about it. I don’t really know what to do.

One thing that has always stood out about BTS is the way they treat the people around them.

Namjoon once said to cortis : always love, respect, and care for the staff no matter how tired or exhausted you are, because the staff work just as hard behind the scenes to make sure the members are safe, comfortable, and taken care of.

And honestly, you can see that mindset in all seven of them.

For years, staff members who worked with BTS talked about how polite, humble, and respectful they are. They bow to everyone, thank the workers constantly, remember people’s names, joke around with them, and treat them like actual human beings instead of “just staff.” They never act above anyone despite being global superstars.

That’s probably why so many staff members love them like family and protect them with so much genuine care. Even the staff who are no longer working with them still speak about BTS warmly, because the boys left an impression as kind, well-mannered people before idols.

Talent can make people famous, but character is what makes people stay loved for years.

@Zeroohclock_ @SincerelySugaa I'm not much. But I help manage a small store, and i reflect back to BTS and how they treat staff. Its diffrent but I try and treat my staff with respect because they're the ones running it and working hard to keep it afloat. Everyone's working an important part.

"De repente me lembrei de uma vez, em um jantar, quando uma pessoa mais velha perguntou sobre o desenvolvimento/carreira do meu irmão mais novo. Pra ser sincera, eu conseguia sentir que aquela era uma pessoa muito tradicional, então apenas dei uma resposta bem por cima. Mas aí ela me pediu diretamente se eu podia mostrar o Instagram dele. Embora eu tivesse previsto várias possibilidades, ainda assim mostrei com muito orgulho. O que eu não esperava era que alguém fosse dizer palavras tão rudes e sem limites bem na frente de um familiar da pessoa.

A pessoa mais velha perguntou: 'Ele é uma pessoa normal?' (Eu continuei explicando, falando para ela sobre o conceito de neutralidade de gênero). Ela respondeu: 'Ah, então é anormal, né?' Eu: 'Eu não concordo com você.'

Havia outros mais velhos na mesa e, honestamente, eu poderia ter engolido o sapo e deixado passar, mas no segundo seguinte, explodi instantaneamente como um vulcão, sem nem perceber.

De forma muito firme, eu a impedi e disse pra não falar mais daquele jeito. Logo depois, fui ao banheiro para me acalmar, e percebi que meu corpo inteiro estava tremendo de raiva e meu coração batendo incrivelmente rápido. No fim, acabei indo embora mais cedo.

E, por mera coincidência, no exato momento em que passei pela porta, meu irmão me ligou. O motivo era que ele sabia que eu estava prestes a dirigir e, com medo de que eu estivesse cansada ou corresse perigo, queria me fazer companhia conversando ao telefone até eu chegar em casa. No momento em que ouvi a voz dele, honestamente, quase desabei em lágrimas. Ele é uma criança tão atenciosa, calorosa e cheia de amor filial. Por que ele tem que ser julgado e criticado por uma estranha que não tem nenhum parentesco com ele?

Eu sempre vou te amar e te proteger, igualzinho a quando éramos pequenos!
