@15au0063 @15au0067 Pts make it a point to stop by and visit with my pharmacist when they're grocery shopping. They love him! #HSOP2015

@15au0100 Barcodes can be a hindrance. If you choose the right drug (with a different NCD than the computer), you get a warning. #HSOP2015

We sanitize our trays to prevent cross-contamination after counting allergenic drugs (codeine, sulfa) How do robots prevent this? #HSOP2015

@15au0090 @15au0122 I thought it was illegal for an AL pharmacist to fill a script without a patient-doctor interaction? #HSOP2015

I work with an 80+ year old pharmacist who struggles to keep up with changing technology. Are Pharmacy IT workshops a thing? #HSOP2015

@15au0033 @15au0080 If only patients felt the same way! #HSOP2015

@15au0033 @15au0048 @15au0078 So you either lose impatient patients, or a patient goes unvaccinated. Lose/lose. #HSOP2015

Pharmacists are liable for dispensing medication errors, whether the Rx was electronic/paper. Which is the lesser of two evils? #HSOP2015

[15au0012 @15au0012]

@15au0051 &, at least my pharmacy's software automatically populates the Data Entry field on eRxs. Saves time and prevents error! #HSOP2015

[15au0012 @15au0012]

@15au0099 I don't think so. It would take very many complex algorithms to be able to replace the cognition of a pharmacist. #HSOP2015

[15au0012 @15au0012]

@15au0058 Agreed. Pharmacists can't make informed decisions about correct meds and dosing without a PMH. We need patient info! #HSOP2015

[15au0012 @15au0012]

@15au0118 and there would be less opportunity for errors! #HSOP2015

[15au0012 @15au0012]

I wish the software at my work had a shortcut built in, where clicking on a drug name went straight to it's ClinPharm monograph #hsop2015

Informatics can be applied to pharmacy by using IT to help manage widely-scattered information #HSOP2015

I enjoyed learning about health informatics and how technology is becoming increasingly more intertwined with healthcare #HSOP2015
