@TarbertRoan entered with the bases loaded, no outs vs Mercer (receiving votes in the coaches poll) and stranded them: ground-ball force/interference double play, then a K. Final: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K on 10 pitches.
Tomorrow @TarbertRoan graduates with a Bachelors degree magna cum laude from FAMU. Despite 2 arm surgeries, lost seasons, & long rehabs, he never lost sight of the 1st part of Student-Athlete. I am so proud of him. Next is grad school at FAMU and back pitching for next ⚾️ season
Started working with @roan_mt about a month post op from a SLAP repair with 5 anchors.
Now, 10 months post op he’s up to 92mph during his continued buildup. (First time 90+ in close to 3 years)
Can’t say enough good things about how this guy has handled this process.
First scrimmage outting 10.5 months post labrum surgery. All fastballs 88-92 no walks in 1ip. Incredibly thankful to @FAMU_Baseball and @E_Mart97 throughout my rehab process. Excited for the season.
This is how it all started- when Roan was one year old. After a ton of hard work, he is now an NCAA Division I college baseball player at Florida A&M University. I am so proud of him.
