I think this post nails it. You can't judge someone's safety and morality based on easy heuristics. Especially not by their taste in art. You have to actually pay attention to their behaviour.

personally think it takes an ignorant and unempathetic person to listen to a podcast where an actor talks about his problems and explains how he’s afraid of being deemed problematic and to then interpret it as the actor being a terrible person
