Yes, Xabi Alonso has to change the culture, but he's fighting a losing battle when you look at the board's squad building. It's sad we're still talking about squad building in year four. The guy is not a miracle worker, and he won't succeed if he's not fully backed.

It's just sickening when you realise that BlueCo inherited a completely debt free, UCL winning club on a silver platter, and they spent 2B to actively downgrade it into a private equity experiment. We completely forfeited our clearest windows to dominate English football just to overpay for unproven potential. That's what hurts the most.
