Social media has trained us to enter life's situations as actors, our environments are sets where we play out premeditated narratives and then post them in anticipation of responses. We are losing the ability to live without an audience.
Sometimes we feel pressure to deliver that #WednesdayWisdom , but often the wisest thing we can do is shut up and listen to the wisdom of others.
Pride brings foolishness; there's wisdom in humility.
I had just transferred from CMU, was living with my parents, attending a local college & delivering pizzas to make money while working out and preparing to walk-on at Wisconsin. I learned the path to success is never as straight-forward as you expect it to be. Just keep working. https://t.co/RpjWbtPUsS
You: โI hate my lifeโ
Also you:
>Doesnโt eat right
>Doesnโt work out
>No long term goals
>No family values
>No morals
>Uses substances for coping
>Has meaningless sex
>Rooms not clean
>Hangs out with people who are exactly the same way
>And does NOTHING to change any of those.
Nick Foles was cut.
He thought about quitting.
He became a back-up quarterback.
He worked hard.
He got an opportunity.
He took advantage of his opportunity.
Heโs now a Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP.
The lesson? Never give up.
