@Pirat_Nation If they want to make a successful game, they have to actually put in the work to do so. They can't just half ass it and expect to rake in the cash. They're shareholders would probably be even more happy if the game actually sold well, that's just more profit for them.
@notnotmalcolm Sims DLC or some packs for there team in NHL, NFL or FIFA and EA instantly makes there money back. There games usually always review poorly but will manage to have a big enough fan base behind said games to still be able to make a profit. It's just scummy business (2/2)
@notnotmalcolm It's unfortunate but that's just EA. It's not just with The Sims. They're sports games are all cash grabs with incremental changes year to year yet they still charged $90+ for them. They know they can do the bare minimum because all it takes is a few cash cows to buy some (1/2)
@notnotmalcolm about it. I just ended up uninstalling it and going back to TS3. If after 10 years of the game being out it's still not as a complete experience as TS3 then that really shows how little EA cares about you as a consumer. They CAN make a good game, they just choose not too (2/2)
@notnotmalcolm I loved the game when it first came out. Flaws and all. It was the first Sims game I got on launch. After about a year or 2 tho, I could tell the direction they were taking the game in and started losing interest. Year by year would go by and I'd find new things to dislike (1/2)
@notnotmalcolm But you get someone who's been playing games they're whole life or someone who has experience with The Sims franchise other than just 4 and they'll likely be able to point out several flaws with TS4.
@notnotmalcolm The Sims like it or not, has always been a game directed at "casual gamers". TS4 is some people's first video game they ever played. So it makes sense that some people blindly support TS4 cause they simply don't know any better. They can't compare it to anything else.
@EsiGabby@arethabeezus No, it's included in the base game settings. It's different in The Sims 3 and 4. In 3 it's located within the Autonomy tab in the settings menu. In 4, if I'm remembering correctly, it should be within the gameplay tab in the settings menu.
@cattailskitdump@arethabeezus Hmm, that's odd I don't think I've ever had that happen to me. I can't really speak for The Sims 4 (it's been years since I last played it) but on The Sims 3 the feature seems to work fine. You could try searching it up online and see if anyone else has had a similar issue as you
@GoodGrapsOnly I mean, is it something I'd listen to on a regular basis? No... But is it horrible? Also no. I wouldn't go as far as to say it doesn't fit, but for a match that's being advertised as "brutal" and "extreme" I do think a rock song would probably match the vibe a bit better.
@RacingBedgood@its_shevi That's because the technology itself hasn't changed all the much in the last few years. Most of the changes year to year are on the software and processing side.
