Bradford. Early 2000s. A girl in care, eight British Pakistani men convicted.
The victim was 13 when the abuse started. It carried on after she was put in a Bradford children’s home. She went missing from that home 101 times between 2002 and 2004. Staff wrote that she was going out with “Asian men” late at night. A social worker told the court men in up to ten cars a night were turning up at the home. Number plates went to police every week. The abuse did not stop.
When she was 15, Raja Zulqurnean “married” her in an Islamic ceremony. Her key social worker attended the wedding. Care staff already thought she was being exploited. Zulqurnean, now 43, made her wear Islamic dress, eat halal, and cut her off from family he called “non-believers.” The jury heard he locked her in a cellar, starved her of food, school and doctors, and raped her. He was convicted of 10 rapes and 9 indecent assaults. First sentence: 18 years. Court of Appeal put it up to 23 years.
Seven other men were convicted over the same girl. Most still awaiting sentence when the BBC published (2 October 2025):
• Basharat Khaliq — 3 rapes, 4 indecent assaults
• Mohammed Naheem — 3 indecent assaults
• Safraz Ahmed Latif — 4 indecent assaults
• Wajid Hussain — indecent assault
• Nadeem Ali — 2 indecent assaults
• Mohammed Imran Akram — 2 indecent assaults
• Mohammed Shezhad Hussain (Keighley) — 1 rape, 2 indecent assaults
All listed as Bradford or Keighley. Reporting restrictions were only lifted so the BBC could name them.
The woman told the BBC it was not just grooming. “I was married to an abuser. How could a child marry? Social services enabled it.” Her solicitor, David Greenwood, said staff knew crimes were happening to her and to other girls and should have emptied the home. Bradford Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe has said there were “serious failings” and the council has apologised. West Yorkshire Police say they have improved since the 2010s and that hundreds of perpetrators are now inside.
The key social worker, Anwar Meah, was questioned over misconduct in public office. No further action. He gave the BBC no comment.
The victim has lifelong anonymity. She said giving evidence wrecked her again in her thirties. She is not the only girl from that home, she said. “There are so many victims who have not been heard.”
During pregnancy, a small number of the baby's cells naturally pass through the placenta and enter the mother's blood circulation. This phenomenon, called fetal microchimerism, allows tiny groups of these fetal cells to settle in the mother's body and persist there for decades following childbirth.
What makes this particularly fascinating is that many of these fetal cells function similarly to stem cells. They can travel throughout the body, integrate into various tissues, and, in certain instances, respond to sites of injury.
Studies conducted over the last twenty years have detected fetal cells in areas undergoing repair, such as healing heart muscle, regenerating skin, recovering liver tissue, and other organs involved in regeneration. Some of these cells seem able to differentiate into the specific cell types required for repair, for example, becoming cardiac muscle cells, liver cells, or immune cells. Others may play a supportive role by secreting substances that promote tissue healing and dampen inflammation.
While their effects are not entirely predictable, fetal cells are repeatedly found in tissues actively engaged in repair.

You wouldn't catch me dead at a Pride march.
I'm a lesbian, not a green-haired freak in fetish gear. It's fucking embarrassing to even be associated with that degenerate shit 💀
Ooh look it's "Birmingham" again & yet another dirty nonce arranging to meet little girls for sexual gratification
This dirty nonce has 2 very young kids of his own, which he left unsupervised so he could exploit "British" girls.
Deport the lot of them! Enough is Enough.
Take your babies everywhere. Restaurants, errands. Anywhere. Try not to stress if they cry, laugh loud, or babble. That’s what babies do. My son goes wherever I go. I’m not raising him to be silent in public. If people stare or get annoyed, they better stay in their lane.
Your baby belongs in the world just like anyone else. Normalize babies in public spaces. You're not a bother you’re parenting.
This is magnificent. A man on BBCQT asks Rachel Millward from the Greens to specify where she thinks racial hatred comes from.
She can't answer.
He tries again
She still can't answer. So nervously waffles on about the cost of living.
He beautifully exposes her stupidity 🔥
Time spent with children spikes for a few years in your thirties and early forties before falling off a cliff. It’s a devastatingly short window. Blink and you’ll miss it. Slow down. Play Monopoly. Read them books on repeat. The time you spend with your children is never wasted.
A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27:
“It’s a strange thing knowing you’re going to die young.
At 26, I thought I had time…
To fall in love.
Start a family.
Grow old.
But cancer doesn’t care about plans.
Now, I understand how fragile life really is. Every single day is a gift, not a guarantee.
I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing to remind you: really live.
Stop stressing over little things. Be kind to your body- move it, nourish it, stop criticizing it. One day you’ll wish you had appreciated it.
Go outside.
Look at the sky.
Feel the sun.
Just be.
Spend less time chasing “stuff” - more time making memories. Don’t skip moments with people you love.
Laugh more.
Write a note.
Tell someone you love them.
Complain less.
Give more.
Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy.
Be present.
Put your phone down.
Show up - really show up.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life.
Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to.
And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever.
Thank you for reading this.
Live your life well.
And maybe… we’ll meet again someday.”

Parents - put your phones out of sight when you’re with your kids. I really mean this. Especially at home. Treat it like a landline and “hang it up” in one place. (Wife and I have a little holder for them in the kitchen) When you need to check it, go over to where it’s placed and look at it, then walk away. Do not carry it around like a digital pacifier. Be present without it in sight. I guarantee this will make a huge impact on their childhood experience.
Adulting is realizing that my mother didn’t have OCD or a cleaning compulsion. You really do have to clean every single day, especially the floors, cabinets, bathroom, kitchen, and counters.
you only get:
1 summer with them as a baby
3 as a toddler
5 as a child
3 as a preteen
6 as a teen
so let them run barefoot,
turn on the sprinkler,
cut up the watermelon,
chase fireflies under fading golden skies
because the summers of sticky hands, sun tired kids, and slow evenings filled with the sounds of childhood
do not last forever 🤍
This is grooming gang survivor @Sarahw9111 Wilson speaking at a Rotherham council meeting. Her anger is real & justified. Aged 14 she had 177 Asian names in her phone. She went to the @syptweet police, who did nothing.
Her 7th abuser was jailed this week for 28 years. Justice.
“Take your mask off, you wanker.”
One of the best clips ever recorded.
A lone Englishman stands firm against a mob of masked Muslim foreigners during London’s Al Quds Day protest.
He doesn’t flinch, doesn’t apologize, doesn’t retreat.
With zero fear, he calls them out:
“Go back to where you came from Abdul.”
“You have no business here.”
“This is England.”
He identifies himself proudly as English while they hide their foreign faces and try to intimidate him.
Police hover in the background, but this man holds the line alone.
A raw snapshot of what’s happening across the UK.
Masses arrive, demand space, wave foreign flags, and act like they own the place.
One native Brit says enough. Millions feel the same frustration boiling over.
No backing down.
If more stood like him, things might change.
Share if you’ve had enough. 🏴
