@biofostermom2 Yup! That’s what I had to keep reminding myself 😅 and it actually saved him from an hour of crying initially and in the long run there will be tons more sleep and lots less crying, thank goodness 😅

Silas is FINALLY nap trained. Now... do I take a shower, or do I wash the dishes... 😅

@biofostermom2 @trank13 But I should say, Silas would scream for hours every night whether we held him or not, so crying for 2 hours was like an hour less than what he normally cried. If we held him, he’d cry for 3 easily.

@biofostermom2 @trank13 We let silas scream for almost 2 hours several nights in a row to ST 😬 we would go in at 10, then 15, then 20, etc, and eventually he fell asleep. It was sad, but him being completely sleep deprived 24/7 was wayyyy worse for him.

@biofostermom2 @trank13 Then when it came to naps, he just knew the routine! He knew he could put himself to sleep and crying wasn’t worth it. He woke up happy from a nap for the first time in his 14m of being alive! I was blown away. 10/10 would recommend ST haha!

@trank13 I know it’s super controversial but this kid NEEDED to sleep, at 1yo he was down to 1 45 minute nap and it just was not healthy at all! Letting him cry for a few minutes for a day or two was a much better alternative!

@trank13 People will probably be so mad, but 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just set up a routine- eat lunch then read a book and then laid him down and let him cry 😬 the first nap time he cried for 8 minutes and then slept for over an hour, the second nap time he cried for less than a minute and slept for ~2hrs
