Best part of the Nintendo Direct: Seeing all the neat 3rd party games I'm going to get on PS5 or Switch because they are all Game Key Card on Switch 2. Thanks Nintendo!
Idea that will never happen: Final Fantasy XI Offline - using the engine they had for the Pixel Remasters, make it a single player story game with pixel art.
Started and finished Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars today. I don't think I have the skill to play games like this anymore. It was horrible to play, dodging was stiff, and I just go frustrated. I don't think the game is bad, I'm just bad at it and objectively bad myself.
Finished Shadow Labyrinth. What a terrible game. Story was bland and nonsensical. Combat was both stiff and buggy. Last boss had NO redeeming factors. It wasn't a fun fight. It wasn't interesting. It was pure torture for no other reason than why not. Bad game.
Ended up beating Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster today. It was fun to blaze through with the boosts on and I honestly forgot a lot of this game when I played the Dawn of Souls version a long time ago. Great fun, very nostalgic, and excellent music. Looking forward to the others.
Finished Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess last night. Great game! Good story and characters. Music was fun. I know the series isn't for everybody but a nice PS1 era RPG that you can play on most modern things now. Go play it!
Finished Resident Evil Requiem. Pretty fun. There was some moments where I wondered how I was supposed to dodge certain things in certain fights but whatever.
Finished the main story in Pokemon Legends Arceus last night. It was pretty good. Some of the fights were super cheap but it did change up the formula enough to feel good. I'll do the post-game someday.
Finished Mercenaries Saga Grey Wolves of War and with that I have beaten the Mercenaries Saga Chronicles. A bunch of middle-of-the-road SRPGs but at least the final bosses in all of them were a challenge. Let's go!
Ended up finishing Princess Peach Showtime! It was a decent game but short. Some of the segments were kind of boring. Also, I was clueless sometimes on some of the cues the game was giving for certain things. Still not terrible.
After many, many years. I have finally beaten Phantom Brave. It wasn't bad and once I broke the system abusing failure dungeons, the game was fun to just steamroll. I needed that.
I very rarely ever give up on games but I have to give up on Digimon World Next Order for real this time. I am not enjoying the game and it is making me contemplate my entire existence. That is a very bad sign, so I will give up before I get worse.
Beat Dragon Quest III: Seeds of Salvation today. It started out okay but man, the last part of the game was just unforgiving at times. Even being overleveled, I don't remember any other DQ game having a final dungeon this difficult.
Ended up beating Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army last night. It was fun. The story was bonkers at times but this was PS2 era Atlus. Everything was crazy back then.
Started and finished Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. It was fun. Definitely feels like a much older game but it was pretty fun. OST was fire, just like most Ys games.
First game beaten in 2026: Hollow Knight. It was okay. I feel like the platforming wasn't super tight and often my inputs would get lost at times. That was just a me problem though. I'm also bad at things. I'll come back for other endings someday.
Got the True Ending in Kirby Air Riders. SO now I can consider it beaten. Great game, some of the challenges are kind of rough even on Casual mode. Still fun and City Trial is just as addictive as the original.
