This WCW is dedicated to the African women from the DadaHub Residency who are building and shipping real products with Bitcoin and AI.
Through the residency, participants worked on practical solutions across payments, accessibility, usability, and financial inclusion - from Lightning integrations and Bitcoin payment tools to AI-powered applications designed around real user needs.
The Bitcoin ecosystem grows stronger when more people participate in shaping it, and it is exciting to see more African women stepping confidently into that role as builders and founders.

One of the most beautiful parts of the DadaHub Residency grand finale was seeing innovative ideas receive real support beyond the classroom.
After 4 weeks of learning, building, and collaboration, some of our residents walked away not just with experience and feedback, but with opportunities that will help them continue growing their projects beyond DadaHub.
The Builder Award was presented to @salma_adam_KE , who also received a laptop from our founder, @marcelorraine , in recognition of her outstanding commitment and growth throughout the residency.
Nelly received a 1-year hosting service award from Revelation Onuche to support the continued development of her project, Chamavault.
@aisha_barasa received a 6-month mentorship opportunity from JuaMsitu for her forestry-focused project.
Discussions are also underway around possible mentorship and partnership opportunities for Lydia’s project, Tareka, with Afribit Kibra and Ecobit.
The room is filling up with women who are building, creating, leading and betting on themselves unapologetically 🧡
Founders. Developers. Designers. Entrepreneurs. Bitcoiners. Future builders.
And honestly? The energy around this anniversary already feels different.
- Good music.
- Good people.
- Bitcoin trivia.
- Drinks.
- Stories.
- Connections.
- Merch
And a room full of women you’ll probably want in your circle after this.
Four years of Bitcoin Dada deserves a proper celebration.
One thing about Bitcoin Dada women? We know how to build AND how to celebrate 😌

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about THE JOURNEY.
Not just of Bitcoin Dada, but of the women I’ve had the chance to work with over the years.
Where many of us started… and where we’re slowly moving towards.
There was a time when the focus was simply access.
Learning. Understanding. Trying to find a place in systems that already existed.
But over time, something shifts.
You begin to see that real change doesn’t come from just participating.
It comes from building. From shaping. From being part of the infrastructure itself.
So I penned this down.🖋
I could write a whole book about this journey, but for now… this is a piece of it.👇🏽

Cohort 10 began with 150 students. 90 sat for the exams, and 70 met the pass mark.
Today, we celebrate the new plebs⚡️.
Over the past 8 weeks, this cohort committed to a rigorous learning journey that required consistency, discipline, and a willingness to engage with concepts that are not always easy to grasp. This was not passive participation, it demanded focus, late nights, active learning, and the courage to step into unfamiliar territory.
What these students have achieved goes beyond passing an exam. They now hold a deeper understanding of Bitcoin, a stronger awareness of financial systems, and a foundation that positions them to engage more meaningfully with the future of money.
We are especially proud to recognize our Top 10 students, who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the program. Representing Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, and Zambia, they reflect both the strength and diversity of this cohort.
Cohort 10 is a clear reminder of what happens when women are given access to knowledge and choose to fully commit to it. The results are not just visible, they are impactful.
We celebrate this milestone, and we look forward to what comes next.
Zyll Terryline, @Angel_of_Good, @BlessingAmala_M, Chikondi Nanyangwe, Eeman Yusuf, @Julimarco7, Marianne Panchanya, @WachenjeNS, @q_uwero and @steppepulse
Congratulations once more to cohort 10!

This past weekend, we welcomed members of the Bitcoin Dada community to Dada Hub for a high-impact, hands-on workshop exploring peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading using @vexl.
Although the Hub is still undergoing its final refinements, it is already serving its core purpose. Dada Hub was designed as a premium, purpose-built environment where our students and Bitcoiners gather to engage deeply with transformative technologies, collaborate meaningfully, and translate knowledge into practical capability. The workshop demonstrated exactly what that vision looks like in practice.

Proud to be featured by Bitcoin Dada for International Women’s Day.
Learning Bitcoin has opened my eyes to how technology can empower communities and create real financial freedom.
When women gain knowledge and access to tools, the impact goes far beyond the individual.
#IWD2026
March invites the world to reflect on the role women play in shaping stronger communities and more inclusive systems.
At Bitcoin Dada, this year’s International Women’s Day theme aligns closely with something we have always practiced: Give to Gain.
Progress happens when knowledge is shared, when women support one another’s growth, and when opportunity is passed forward.
Today we are highlighting women (@mtemang76495, @steppepulse , @18123_ and Chikondi Nanyangwe) from Cohort 10 who embody that spirit. Women engaging Bitcoin not only to expand their own understanding, but to strengthen the communities around them.
Their stories reflect a simple truth. When women gain access to tools, networks, and knowledge, the impact reaches far beyond the individual.
Give to Gain is not a campaign for a season; It is the culture we are building together.

This past week, the Dada Devs fellows covered three lectures under the guidance of @ANaiyoma and the depth of what was covered speaks for itself.
We covered:
Bitcoin Core Development Environment: Configuring the core build, compiling from source and running a fully validating Bitcoin node on the network.
Keys, Addresses and Wallets: Private and public key cryptography, address derivation, hot vs cold storage, custodial vs non-custodial wallets, HD wallet architecture, mnemonic seed phrases and the BIP32, BIP39 and BIP44 standards that define how modern wallets are structured.
Transactions: The UTXO model, transaction structure from inputs to outputs, how digital signatures prove ownership without revealing private keys and a SegWit overview covering how it solved transaction malleability and expanded block capacity.
The fellows are going deep, and we are only just getting started.
#DadaDevs #BitcoinDevelopment
Last Wednesday, we took the fellows through Bitcoin 101, how it works and why it matters.
Under the guidance of @wandiology, the fellows spent the evening building a solid foundation in Bitcoin from the ground up.
We covered:
🔷 What Bitcoin is: A decentralized digital money ecosystem built on cryptography.
🔷 The Role of Cryptography: Digital signatures and how the double-spend problem was solved.
🔷 Bitcoin Wallets: How they work, hot vs cold storage, and keeping funds secure.
🔷 Public & Private Keys: How ownership works on the Bitcoin network.
🔷 Transactions: How value moves from one person to another.
🔷 Nodes: What keeps the network decentralized and running.
🔷 Mining & Proof of Work: How new bitcoin enters circulation and the chain stays secure.
🔷 The Lightning Network: Bitcoin’s Layer 2 for fast, low-cost payments.
We are excited for all they have to learn and we are only just getting started!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!🎉🥁
For a long time, Dada Hub has lived in strategy documents, late-night planning calls, and the collective imagination of a community that believes Africa deserves Bitcoin-native infrastructure built with intention.
Today, we are proud to announce the space is secured!! The setup is underway. What we are building is not simply a venue, but an operational backbone for Bitcoin-native talent, product thinking, and ecosystem execution. As our programs have expanded and the depth of builders emerging from Bitcoin Dada & @DadaDevs has increased, it became clear that we needed infrastructure that supports serious work, not just community gathering.
The Hub is designed as an applied Bitcoin lab — a controlled environment where capital, talent, and technical thinking can converge. Rather than merely hosting sessions, it enables sustained engagement, disciplined experimentation, and ecosystem-grade execution. It is about creating the physical layer that supports long-term market participation, not just short-term programming.
This is an intentional step toward sustainability and stronger ecosystem integration. We are thinking long-term: about talent pipelines, about institutional collaboration, and about how to make KENYA an undeniable node within the global #Bitcoin network.
More details about the official launch will be shared soon.
For partners, builders, and aligned institutions who understand that infrastructure precedes impact, you already know what this means.
We are building with permanence in mind!
