Royton Air Cadets

Official tweets of 1855 Royton ATC Squadron. Developing local youth aged 12-20 to be the best they can through adventure training and much more.

Self-confidence, better attendance at school, improved attainment of qualifications, inclusion, exciting and challenging opportunities, leadership skills, and you get to go flying and gliding - what’s not to like about being a member of the @aircadets?

We need a little help... we're looking for a decent projector and wondered if any schools/colleges might be getting rid at the end of this academic year. If you know anything or anyone who could help, let us know! #community #charity #help

Face to face activity starts again in just 10 days time! 🐜🐜🐜
New programme, new staff, new safety measures, same aim: deliver the air cadet experience with good old Royton attitude. 💪🏻

Sad news for many @aircadets, for whom the @airtattoo is the highlight of their year. The decision is entirely sensible given and we stand ready to engage with this year’s virtual event and then help the best air show in the world come back bigger & better in 2022!

Well done ex FS Iannidinardi! 🐜🐜

Over the past week, three UGSAS students attended RAF College Cranwell for the No 10 APO course.

The students spent the week engaging in theory and practical lessons on leadership. 🎯

After completing the course they were presented with their commissions! 🎉

20 years ago today I arrived at RAF Halton, it’s been an amazing ride with some great highs and terrible lows. It’s a rollercoaster but I find myself in Cornwall with an a wonderful wife Charlotte (without whom this wouldn’t be possible), my family following the career I love.

We all need a key to open the doors in life! Joining @1855sqn was one of mine. The RAF are understandably HUGE supporters and the opportunities available to Cadets are simply amazing!
