What I got from Sam Reyes and Kieffer Alas’ interview:

- It was not an initiation rite.
- They were doing an exercise in thigh-deep water when the waves suddenly became stronger.
- CPR was being performed on Rene before a medic stopped it so he could be brought to the ambulance.
- Divine still had a pulse when he was recovered but was taken to the hospital in a police vehicle.
- No one aside from Rene and Divine was in critical condition, contrary to some early reports.
- No ankle weights were used.
- No gag order, but they were advised not to speak publicly (except to family).
- They’ve been receiving death threats.
- They believe the backlash has been worsened by the lack of information released publicly by Ateneo.
- They waited to speak because it was difficult emotionally and because they were expecting the fact-finding process.
- They said they still haven’t been interviewed for the investigation.
- Right now, they’re focused on recovering mentally before returning to basketball.

Just entering the 2nd week of my Half mary prep and feeling more at ease with my pace and distance while also unexpectedly hitting PRs.
I used to feel like dying doing 3kms 🤮

Now I just have to repeat this around 2 more times 🏃‍♂️
