"For those among us who entered the time of the pandemic already facing economic insecurity or other forms of social distress, the increased burdens brought by the current difficult times have proven to be almost overwhelming." #EAUFcares
"The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people; that public discussion is a political duty; and that this should be a fundamental principle of the American government."— Ruth Bader Ginsburg in her 2012 book, My Own Words

On November 6, I carried four-out-of-the-five precincts in Peoria Heights (Richwoods Township), where the vote tally was:

I will be serving on a panel tomorrow night (Tues, Jan. 15) at a meeting of the Peoria chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). The meeting will take place at Peoria Pizza Works-Peoria Heights (3921 N Prospect Rd, Peoria Heights, IL 61616), and it begins at 6:30 p.m.
You will see a brief social media hiatus at this location, but the site will be repurposed to that of being a platform for critical observation of political affairs as we move forward. Stay tuned, and keep the faith.
All the best,
Junius
After 622 days of active campaigning, my effort to seek the post of U.S. Representative for the IL-18 congressional district ended last evening. Although the outcome was not the one for which I had hoped, it was a valuable experience nonetheless.
I will soldier on to support those candidates for office who support the common sense policies that are necessary to move our communities and our nation forward.
