Waarom blijven de onderwijsresultaten toch zo achter met pak 'm beet 30 jaar geleden ?
Geen waterdichte verklaring maar gewoon wat observaties uit de praktijk ;

- 50% van de leerlingen in mijn groep heeft geen stabiele thuissituatie (gescheiden ouders of vader uit beeld)
-60% gaat na school niet naar huis maar naar BSO, vriendjes of opa en oma.
- 20% heeft een taalachterstand (1e, 2e of 3e generatie migranten)
- Slechts ongeveer de helft zit op een (sport)club, de rest zit in zijn/haar vrije tijd te gamen of op de mobiel.
- Kinderen komen vaak doodmoe op school omdat ze veel te laat naar bed gaan.
- 30% van m'n tijd ben ik bezig met gedragsgerelateerde onderwerpen (klassikale en individuele gesprekken, kanjertrainingen, gouden weken, zilveren weken, sociale vaardigheden, gesprekken met IB'ers, ouders, educatieve dienst en gedragstherapeuten)
- In de klas gaat zo'n 15% van de tijd verloren doordat er weer eens wat brandjes moeten worden geblust. Bij veel kinderen ontbreken normale sociale vaardigheden als respect tonen, naar elkaar en de meester luisteren, je spullen opruimen, van elkaars spullen afblijven, op tijd komen, op tijd klaar zitten en af en toe je klep houden.
- Alle lesmethodes moeten tegenwoordig 'leuk en uitdagend' zijn. Bij bv. rekenen komt dat er simpelweg op neer dat er per lesuur veel minder sommen worden gemaakt omdat er vooral verhaaltjes worden verteld ipv 'droge kost'. Omdat dit ook in de lagere groepen zo is ontbreken bij veel kinderen automatiseringsvaardigheden zoals bv de tafels.
- Veel individueel werk gaat tegenwoordig op het Chromebook waardoor ouders ook minder zicht hebben op de vooruitgang van hun kind (minder boekjes/schriften mee naar huis)
- Ik werk niet op een achterstandsschool maar toch krijgt de helft een VMBO advies....
- Oudergesprekken met gescheiden ouders plannen. Wens me sterkte.

Trek verder zelf je conclusies maar.
