🔺 3 in 4 UK adults do not realise the true scale of domestic abuse.

🔺 Just 26% percent know that 1 in 4 women will experience it.

🔺 Although 80% would report physical abuse, fewer than 4 in 10 would report coercive control, technology facilitated, economic, or psychological abuse.

Younger people are even less likely to recognise warning signs...

🔺 Only 57% of 18 to 24 year olds see image based abuse as domestic abuse, compared to 88% of those over 55.

If we fail to see, understand, and act on domestic abuse, how can we ever hope to end it?

Because they’ve realised there is more to life than motherhood?
Because they have realised there is more to life than giving yourself to a man?
Because they are happy and free?
Because they are sick of being left single with children by deadbeat men?
Because they have ambitions and goals and dreams?
Because they want to travel?

Because they have a CHOICE.

You know, those three are the real three reasons that people don’t like this trend - they don’t want women to have this choice, they don’t want them using their brain, they don’t want them exercising free will.

They want women barefoot and pregnant, serving some mediocre guy his dinner every night, taking her antidepressants, scrolling through social media, buying shit off the internet, and raising more humans for consumerism.
