@jengerson When my grandfather passed my dad was 9. My dad his mom 17, 16 & 6 yr old siblings were left to sort out life in 1950s rural 🇵🇹.

17 &. 16yr old bailed, my dad became a Sheppard for 4yrs then a gofer for lumberjacks to help support.
