*Today's Truth 4-21-26*

The Gospel message of Hope.
Think about those words for a second. Think about hope. What does it mean?
In many circles, hope is defined as a way to put a focus on something with a "wishful thinking you may be able to get it through effort and work". We have a HOPE of being rich, or popular or even the head of the class. However having a hope in material outcomes doesn't really pay. It's fleeting and superficial.. it doesn't amount to anything lasting.
But, when we look at HOPE the way its meant to be interpreted, it is having an expectation that something can happen when we trust the Author of our life to provide for us. The Gospel is a message of HOPE.

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
(ROMANS 5:5)

God has ultimately promised to us that He would always provide for us and care for us better than any parent could. Much deeper, is the knowledge that God is always on our side.
When Jesus came to earth, He came to provide a way for us to experience all of the blessings God wanted to bestow upon us. But, with His death on the cross, the way of HOPE was made open. The veil was torn from top to bottom to grant us a glimpse of Heaven with the expectation that we will one day walk into Heaven. The HOPE of eternal peace and acceptance overwhelms us and we experience transformation and love.
The sacrifice of Jesus offers even the lowliest of hearts peace. The HOPE of a new life comes washing in and brings us to our knees in worship.
As the Scripture says above, HOPE DOESNT DISAPPOINT. Instead it is transforming. It is powerful.
Hebrews adds to this by defining true HOPE.

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
(Hebrews 11:1)
HOPE offers us an insiders look at the heart of God. His love pours out and we see His true purpose to bless us. Don't give up on HOPE.instead allow yourself to trust God and stand in HOPE that He has good things for you. One day soon you will see it come to pass for you.
