Crypto can feel scattered and gatekept. The good conversations are spread across a hundred places, and a lot of them are hard to get into. We’d like to help bring the space together.

1993 is meant to be a place where you can do whatever you want. If you’re new, it’s somewhere to make friends, ask questions and learn. If you’ve been here a while, it’s somewhere to keep growing your taste and share it with others.

You choose what to reveal. No email, no phone number, no ID. Talk in public rooms to meet people, or keep things in private rooms and DMs that are end-to-end encrypted.

In the long run, we hope it grows beyond crypto, into a place where anyone can find their people, whether they’ve ever owned a coin or not.

Someone ran a script that made 900+ fake accounts to hoard usernames and resell them.

We cleared them and blocked automated scripts. All of those names are back for real people grab.

Sign-up limits are live, and selling a name now needs a real account with Rep. One person can’t hoard the market.

We now run on two servers. One holds accounts, rules and payments. Our own live server delivers every message. It keeps no logs and no IP addresses.

It’s faster too: each message is sent once, straight to everyone in the room, instead of every browser asking over and over.

Private rooms and DMs are end-to-end encrypted. Our servers only ever store scrambled text we can’t read.

We never hold your wallet keys. Connecting a wallet only shares its public address, and every payment is signed in your own wallet.
