Hi! Just joined Twitter, my name is Jonathan. I'm 25 yrs old and have a huge passion for hiking based landscape and wildlife photography in New Zealand. Here are a few of my recent shots. Look forward to joining the photography community.
A mighty and powerful river leading to a 500m giant. The Glacier burn track had one of the most impressive waterfalls ever because of its height and power. Such a beautiful view looking up the glacier-carved valley with thick beech forest on each side.
FINALLY… ffs we have an end date to this savage lockdown, after 17 weeks my flights are booked and I will see these mountains soon with the astrobro @paulwilsonimage
So the only question left remaining is: half send or full send? 👀
Mt Ruapehu! Amazing lighting early morning from Blyth hut. So many nice walks around Ruapehu. Blyth hut is definitely amazing and a must-do hut in the north island and only a 1-2h walk.
Amazing sunrize after a freezing night at "lewis tops track" in the south island. High winds (50kph+) made it a very sleepless night. But waking up to this made it all worth it!
Who else love waterfalls! Milford sounds in NZ has some of the best around, here is the 4 sister falls on a stormy day. Milford sound is a must-see of NZ.

What are some of your fav waterfall shots? I would love to see some below
An amazing sunrise over Mt Doom! Really cool rock formations up mt Ruapehu overlooking mt doom in the background. Seemed like a dream with the cloud inversion and pink glow of the sunrise. What a beautiful place it is.
"NZ's best waterfall" Without a doubt my absolute fav waterfall in NZ. Believe it or not, that is only half of it. It drops for at least another 25m from where I'm standing. Untouched, deep in the bush with old fossils all around. Makes the 6h hike seem so worth it.
@Kanehartill Real! that's so amazing! Always wanted to do that but looked too hard haha, definitely would be a dream to get up there one day. Arthurs pass is definitely one of the best hiking spots in NZ
Gm All! 😀"Not a bad place to spend the night!" The high peaks of Arthurs pass, New Zealand offer some of the best tenting views imaginable. Nothing like waking up early morning with views of the 7500ft mt Rollerston in the back round and clear skies.
