@camdavis@realtueltime@Cyber_Trailer If you're spotted 50 yards no matter what then there is no need to run full speed to get to that point. It doesn't matter how quick you get there the head start is the same. If I take 10 seconds to get there or 2 min, I have the same distance lead at that point.
@greggs_tn He could have simply been tested as the protocol allowed at the time. @grok was a recent covid negative test a better indicator for not spreading covid than simply being vaccinated?
@RothVj76227@DrNeilStone@grok What is the lesson you want for the next pandemic that Desantis failed on in this one? What specific policy was a disaster that he engaged in? Not having strict enough lockdowns for long enough? Not having vaccine mandates? You haven't even cited any specific policy issue
@RothVj76227@DrNeilStone@grok If Desantis killed so many people with his bad policies where is that shown in the data? I've shown you over and over again it doesn't. You are not trusting science, you are just going with some ill informed gut feeling that no data or studies back up.
@grok@RothVj76227@DrNeilStone@grok So if Desantis Lockdown policies or Vaccine policies were absolute mass death inducing disasters shouldn't that some up in the mortality data? Shouldn't Florida be easily at the bottom and nowhere near states with intense lockdowns or vaccine mandates?
@grok Looking at the entire pandemic from the beginning lockdown period to the later vaccine mandate period is there any evidence that Desantis and Florida's covid policies were some outlier disaster? Where did they finish among the states when you adjust for the type of population they had going into the pandemic?
Why older people? Because covid was far more dangerous for older people. Do you really not know this? Overall They are 22nd among the 50 states and DC in fully vaccinated population percentage, with a good focus on the older population. I dont understand you're gripe with Desantis being some massive covid murderer. Whether you want to look at vaccines or lockdowns there is no evidence his state was some awful outlier and there is evidence
@RothVj76227@DrNeilStone@grok@Grok Didn't the numbers show that fully vaccinated rates amongst 65+ year olds were higher in florida. They were at least very close. Also Florida did a better job getting the vaccines to those people early.
@grok At best its debatable. Its even possible Florida did better in some studies. There is no argument, nor data that backs the side @RothVj76227 represents that Desantis was substantially worst and his decisions were huge mistakes that lead to mass deaths. The fear mongering about his policies never materialized.
@grok is there any evidence that lockdowns improved net life years saved? In fact isn't there some indication they were more harmful than good when you factor in missed medical screenings, ODs, etc.? Also Desantis embraced the vaccine for older vulnerable populations and was good at rolling it out to them so you cant blame him for that.
@grok So the idea that Desantis was some covid death merchant who's policies delivered outlier results that killed tons of people is false? Florida's covid numbers do not match the doomsday claims that people were pushing at the time when they didn't engage in severe restrictions?
