Saundra Godshall

Hi I'm Saundra and I love the Scarlet Letter. Awesome ends with me and Ugly starts with U! Follow me for a good time.

Ch. 7: What the townspeople see when they look at Pearl #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@ClaireMobed I think that the scarlet letter has become a permanent part of Hester's life which leads her to return home and continue wearing it... she has grown into who she is because of the 'A' #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 24: The book really comes full circle at the end as Hester still wears the 'A', but it no longer means adulterer... and that women seek Hester for advice #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 24: I believe that Dimmesdale had a mark just like Hester's 'A' on his chest #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@rebeccavengal19 I know I feel bad! Pearl has lived such a difficult life already and this just adds to it #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 23: I think the sun shining down on Dimmesdale during this chapter is a symbol that he has finally told the truth and is guilt free #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 23: There seems to be many elements in this chapter that add to the craziness of what is about to happen... for example the loud music and huge group of people #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@JawntCoyle Exactly! I think there are many escape plans throughout the story that are completely ignored by the characters #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 22: The native american presence in this chapter adds another critique to society at the time #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 22: Mistress Hibbins is definitely an interesting character... inviting Pearl on a witch ride??! #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@19fredricksn It's kinda funny because Chillingworth isn't even a real doctor yet he's gotten away with all of this #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 21: Noooo!! Chillingworth is on the boat to Europe with Pearl, Dimmesdale, and Hester😵knew this was too good to be true #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 21: Wow!!! Even Hester went into town for the celebration, things have really changed #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@kristyn_usilton True Chillingworth already seems to be onto him... not a good sign #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 20: I wonder if or when Dimmesdale will reveal to Chillingworth that he knows his true identity #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 20: It's interesting to see Dimmesdale's character change after he spoke to Hester... he is changing into a completely different person #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@rebeccavengal19 Yeah I agree!! Pearl was treating her mom very poorly in this chapter and I wonder why?? #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 19: Pearl needs a little attitude check after how she treated Hester and Dimmesdale #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 19: It's ironic that Pearl made her mom put the scarlet letter back on after Hester felt free enough to take it off #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

@19moktanm I feel like both her and Dimmesdale know they have struggled long enough and are ready for a new life again #FlynnSL

[Saundra Godshall @19godshalls]

Ch. 18: The choice to move to Europe makes Hester and Dimmesdale so happy again why didn't they do this years ago #soconfused 🤔 #FlynnSL
