Yesterday we returned to our roots and gave a presentation to this year's MSc Marine Conservation students, which is the course that prompted us to start CCI! It was great to talk to such an enthusiastic group of students about #cuttlefish and what we are doing to help them!
My dream #cetacean has just surfaced in front of us in the #DrakePassage - the mythical Type D #Orca at 60o South! This pod of ~25 individuals came in to check the ship out, erupting out of the swell & then vanishing. Only described in 1955 & still an enigma! I am ECSTATIC!
Absolutely insane few days... had the most amazing time in the Lake District for a family wedding, travelling back up to Edinburgh today then flying out to Mauritania on Sunday for my first project offshore! 🛳✈️
