So, I offered to pour a can of the cheap beer into a glass. He was ecstatic. By the time the wife came around the beer was poured and the bill was paid. Later that night while they were heading out he loudly thanked me saying the beer was extra good that evening.
(1) A gentleman walked in the clubhouse after his round and ordered our most budget friendly can of beer. He was thinking out loud what to get his wife. She liked to order draft beers. He thinks she can't tell the difference between his cheap can and her fancy draft.
(2) Looking up his stats, this college football team was a nationally ranked top ten team at the time. He and his family are very humble, kind, and generous people. Just got another positive adjective to add to his name. Football legend.
(1) I saw a family friend golfing, he's close to my dad's age. No sooner had I said "hi" his golf buddies blurt "did you know he played (for a very prominent D1) college football!?! He was a starter!" I had no idea.
For today's adventure, I was the middle man in getting our maintenance an obscene amount of cayenne pepper. Apparently a fox has been digging deep holes in the course and this will be sprinkled around as a deterrent. ๐ฆ
"Youth on course" is listed when they check in, so it's very easy to know they are underage. They thought they could easily bring in their own beer and drink while playing. They were incorrect in their assumptions.
A homeless person was removed from the golf course for living on the property. They set up camp near a Porta Potty and a water jug. Their camp was deep in the trees and barely visible from the golf course, but being visible from the fence on the other side got them caught.
(3) I didn't hear of any updates on the gentleman but I did see him golfing again at another course, so happy to see her was alive and supposedly doing well.
(1) I have been part of my first 911 call. We had one of many "dangerous heat" days that does not stop the old dudes from golfing. It should have stopped at least one old dude from golfing. Thankfully he had a friend with him the first time he passed out.
(2) Another able bodied person came to help his friend carry the guy into the clubhouse where he proceeded to pass out again. Paramedics cake and took him away. His friend was visibly shaken and waited for the guys wife to meet him at the clubhouse and to the hospital together.
My first day: I met many people including "Peter" who works on the Pro side checking in golfers, answers phones etc. Day two- I clock in:
Me: Oh Hi Peter!
Peter: You must have met the other Peter. We look the same and have the same name. You won't be able to tell us apart.
Then I go into the other room where the nurse is waiting. I am allowed to wash my hands in that room while the nurse inspected my urine in the toilet and that there's was nothing suspicious. ๐ณ
My interview process was pretty uneventful, except I had to do a drug test. I went into a medical office where they explained the process as it was my first time. I go into a separate room, I pee in the cup, I DO NOT FLUSH OR WASH MY HANDS.
