60 years ago today, on Bloody Sunday, Amelia Boynton Robinson was beaten unconscious for democracy.
Her sacrifice led to the Voting Rights Act & 10,000+ Black people elected to office, including @BarackObama, who 50 yrs later held her hand across the bridge where she was beaten.
New Orleans artist Tahj "Queen Tahj" Williams is the first Black woman to design the Super Bowl logo and theme art for Super Bowl LIX. Her intricate beadwork honors the Black Masking tradition, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of New Orleans on football's biggest stage.
