An experience like my own. When asked how I wound up becoming a librarian, I can trace it directly back to Mrs. Rosalee DiPasalegne at Fernwood. All kids deserve a Rosalee! #goat

When asked about an educator that inspired her, @stacydavisgates told a beautiful story about her school librarian.

“Our library was a safe space. The librarian sat in the middle and read a book. And she read the book in different voices, with inflection, and with intonation. She read it with such love and care for the literature… the library perhaps was the place that introduced me into a world beyond my working class neighbourhood in Indiana. It introduced me to different continents. It introduced me to different leaders. It introduced me to courage and resilience. It was the librarian and our school that provided so much opportunity and hope."
