My daughters are only 4 years old of age. But we already have selected grooms for them and both families have a say in how the children are raised. The values that we want in our son in laws and the kind of diet and lifestyle our daughters are being raised in, all of it is being shared between both families.

The children are not told about any of it and wont be told till they reach the legal age of marriage. The boys are studying in a gurukul. My girls are homeschooled. There is no reason for children of opposite genders to be familar to each other besides ones family members.

Treating marriage like a lottery or roulette is a dangerous game. Thats how children end up in drums and suitcases. Actively raising the children under ones guidance is the way we see viable in todays times.

The families of all the children involved, we have all been friends for years, been part of a community of which values are shared between us. All our elders know about the history of all our families because nobody forgets in a village.

All the childrens birth charts were studied before deciding on this. One of the family’s father is the guru bandhu of my husband. Our guru’s permission and blessings were also taken on my family’s side. And the most important unifying factor is that all of us serve and live under the authority and influence of one form of Bhagwan, our Ishtadev. Whom we all lovingly serve.

We have not been able to find a girl for our son yet. Because it is understandably considered too peculiar in todays age to plan this. But hes only 6 so theres still hope. I have realised that parents want to pretend that their daughter is never going to leave them, especially the fathers. But this means she does ultimately leave but to a strangers house.

It might sound dystopian but if you think about it for more than 5mins, it will hopefully make sense.
