@Jackmeough7058 @magicmaj I have been down there hundreds of times too & so am unsure how you don't know there's a river that runs next to Aylestone Meadows that floods Aylestone Meadows. I do know where you mean. I imagine the parents also sadly didn't realise how it floods & joins, I hope they find him

@Jackmeough7058 @magicmaj @Jackmeough7058 When the two parts flood & join I imagine the flow of the river gets much stronger. I agree when not joined the side that looks like a canal doesn't usually seem to have a strong current but I've luckily never been in it so it might be stronger than it seems.

@Jackmeough7058 @magicmaj @Jackmeough7058 The Grand Union Canal joins with the River Soar before Castle Gardens. The River Soar then runs behind the football stadium and splits down either side of Aylestone Meadows, one side still looks like it could be a canal but if you check a map you'll see it isn't.

Does anybody know what type of mushroom/fungi this is? 🍄They're quite solid feeling, some are under trees.
