That level of comfort is why people are silent when the violence is public & shame us when we leave b/c it was private. There is power in each voice. Collectively we will shake the very ground those lies were built on. #BlackWomenMatter#SupportBlkWmn#BlackWomanILoveAndAdoreYou https://t.co/HNd2JO6vGk
We wish the lack of outrage for #ChikesiaClemons was because you eat at #Starbucks more than #WaffleHouse. Why are we still screaming #BlackWomenMatter from the depths of our souls? We’re very clear, folks are still collectively more comfortable with violence on Black women.
Hey y’all I stopped by a Black owned plant shop ran by a mother & daughter. They are so kind. The plants are beautiful. They opened March 1st & when I said I never knew about it they said that’s been an issue. So please share and change that!

@CAPTIvation4 Agreed. Home will be a place of love. It will not resemble the abuse encountered by Black bodies elsewhere in the world. Abuse and love do not coincide. Our home is one of love.
We have some battles ahead of us, but remember what we face is not worse than what our foreparents faced. And there are more of us with more tools.
These extremists are really weak because they know they can’t win in fair fight. 19% in NC, 7% in GA, 4% in FL are the small percentages of poor and low wealth people who haven’t voted and, had they voted, could have changed the outcome of the last few elections.
Let’s go to work and take back our mighty dream again. Let’s go to work around a love, truth, justice moral agenda and remember, as my co-chair @liztheo shared with me, what Harry Belafonte sang. https://t.co/5zHig9Dcrh
Fat bodies are wondrous.
Trans bodies are wondrous.
Black bodies are wondrous.
Disabled bodies are wondrous.
Sacredly crafted in God's own image. Reject the cultural lies that try to tell you anything different.
You are beautiful and holy.
@Beautie_Cutie To your question in experience having a conversation about my questions prompted by a sermon have helped me navigate similar situations with those I care for in ministry
@Beautie_Cutie It also teaches that love is associated with obedience in children and adults. It's one reason people feel the need to dominate children and spouses. "The person in charge dictates love and love looks like total and complete obedience" It's harmful to the horizontal community.
@afrolutheran Something made my hand that speaks to my personality. For me that could be anything such as a backpack, art work, blanket (I like eating in the park), books, or anything that is practical and thoughtful.
On the push to ban some children’s books, @levarburton tells #TheView, “I’ll be absolutely candid and honest. It’s embarrassing that we are banning books in this country; in this culture; in this day and age.”
“Read the books they’re banning. That’s where the good stuff is!”
