Karnataka has launched One Karnataka Mobility App, bringing KSRTC, NWKRTC, KKRTC and BMTC services onto a single digital platform.
The upgraded KSRTC AWATAR 2.0 app & WhatsApp ticketing facility were launched by CM @DKShivakumar on September 10.
Passengers can book tickets via WhatsApp at +91 6364940880 for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC buses. Tickets can also be cancelled through WhatsApp. The app will enable grievance tracking & digital bus passes.

The first batch of nine Dasara elephants, which arrived at Mysore Palace on Aug. 28, underwent their traditional weight check this morning, with Srikanta topping the chart at 5,790 kg. As part of the annual ritual, the elephants were led to the Sairam & Co. Weigh Bridge on Dhanvanthri Road this morning, accompanied by their mahouts and kavadis.
They exited the Mysore Palace through the North Gate and proceeded via Chamaraja Circle, K.R. Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, and Dhanvanthri Road to the weigh bridge.
This year’s weights are as follows, with last year’s figures in brackets: Srikanta – 5,790 kg, Ekalavya – 5,600 kg, Dhananjaya – 5,530 kg, Mahendra – 5,490 kg, Prashantha - 5,205 kg, Gopi – 5,170 kg, Srirama - 4,820 kg, Lakshmi – 3,990 kg and Kaveri – 3,075 kg.
In an incident reported in Mandya today, Rs. 8 lakh cash with currency notes in various denominations was at a house belonging to one Noor, who begged for alms in the town.
Noor died of old age this morning and when her relatives checked the house, they found sacks with currency notes amounting to Rs. 8 lakh.
Noor’s last rites were performed today. However, when her relatives took away the cash they faced severe criticism from local residents who blamed the relatives for pushing Noor into beggary.

A team of forest officials raided a farmhouse in Mangala village, located on the fringes of Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Chamarajanagar and recovered a deer head, antlers, pelt and a licensed gun.
Acting on a tip-off from a farmer leader in Mangala village, a team of forest officials from the Gopalaswamy Betta Range of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve arrived at the farm house and conducted a thorough inspection, during which the deer head, pelt,antlers and guns were found.
The forest officials immediately seized the items including guns and knifes. They are also investigating whether the gun was used for illegal activities or hunting.
According to the forest officials, the farmhouse belonged to one lady Senetila Langkumerand the weapons to one of her relative Karnal Jacob, both of whom are currently absconding.
Meanwhile, the forest sleuths arrested one Suresh Pariyar, who was present at the farmhouse during the raid.
