@MaritaCowie What fab news. Any effort to bolster numbers of places in exisiting universities with rural connection / rural schools is the way forward, no matter how long it will take.

Rural Generalist recognition is still coming but well and truly overdue. Because I want to be a Rural Generalist “when I grow up”.

Got my selfie with the Sandpiper Bag earlier today. Can’t wait to get my hands on one again when doing some pre-hospital medicine in the future.

Look out for the @SandpiperAus bag at @ACRRM #rma23 - get a photo with the bag to have a chance to win one

Looking forward to day when all new Fellows get a bag @MaritaCowie !

Finished an evening ED shift a couple of minutes ago. Had 1 pen to start the shift. As my husband put it to me, “you can either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”… guilty 😳

[Nicola Murphy @1NicolaMurphy]

Delighted to be making my first steps towards ACRRM training and 🤞🏻 fellowship. #DestinationRural

I love to drive long car trips and find driving easy. Hopefully, doctoring with time will become more like driving road trips and less like stalling and bunny hopping a manual car at a stop sign.

⚕ Medical Musings ⚕️
Something the other day that stuck with me & I’ve expanded it…

️Medicine & the art of doctoring is like learning to drive a car.

[Nicola Murphy @1NicolaMurphy]

Perhaps you can start to think about other stuff while driving. Not just the effort of the task but the journey and the destination.
