Tomorrow morning’s onboarding packet for the new Fed Chair:
Welcome aboard, Kevin. We’ve prepared a short orientation checklist for your first day. 😊 Staff
☑️ Reassure global bond markets without printing more money
☑️ Stop inflation without causing 1932
☑️ Lower rates without collapsing the dollar
☑️ Keep rates high enough so boomers don’t riot over savings yields
☑️ Keep rates low enough so millennials can someday buy a garage with a sink in it
☑️ Explain to Congress that deficits DO matter while Congress actively creates more deficits in real time
☑️ Convince Americans the economy is “strong” while eggs require financing
☑️ Prevent regional banks from spontaneously turning into vapor
☑️ Quietly monitor commercial real estate, private credit, derivatives, sovereign debt, and whatever fresh hell is happening in Japan tonight
☑️ Smile confidently on CNBC while your internal monologue sounds like a man trapped in a submarine hearing new creaks
Then around 2:37am:
Bond market: “Hey Kevin… you awake?”
Kevin: “No.”
Bond market: “Cool. Anyway the 30-year yield is doing parkour again.”
Also before heading home:
• buy kitty litter
• check smoke detectors
• maybe pick up candles
• and whatever you do… DO NOT look directly at the Treasury debt clock after midnight.
May God be with you,
Staff
@Polymarket Deep Thought:
Scientists spent billions of dollars and built artificial intelligence powerful enough to communicate with whales, dolphins, apes, birds, and cuttlefish.
The first message humanity receives is:
"Honestly, we thought YOU guys were the intelligent species."
@Polymarket Dr. Doolittle 2026:
Human: "At last! We can communicate with all the animals!"
Dog: "Ball."
Human: "No, I mean your hopes, dreams, fears..."
Dog: "Ball."
Human: "The mysteries of consciousness?"
Dog: "Ball."
Maybe wisdom is knowing exactly what matters.
$450K is a lot, but it highlights a larger vulnerability.
Some fraudsters position themselves on accounts before a person’s death, continue living in the same residence, and keep benefits flowing as if the beneficiary were still alive, sometimes it is even family.
The longer it goes unnoticed, the bigger the loss.
Regular wellness checks and automated death-record verification could save taxpayers hundreds of millions.
Regardless of politics, Americans should be able to agree on this: protecting our nation from foreign military and nuclear threats matters. If these allegations are proven, the investigators who uncovered it deserve recognition. National security isn’t red or blue—it’s American. 🇺🇸
@datSideKick@Patrickwebb@elonmusk And that pesky water pressure...
Elon looked at the ocean, saw giant squids, crushing pressure, and possible alien bases, then said, "Yeah... let's just go to Mars."
With a decade-plus of money printing, trillions in liquidity, unprecedented stock market wealth creation, and inflation distorting nearly every traditional benchmark, the old measuring sticks are pretty discombobulated. 🙂
The AI revolution is real. Whether we’re in a bubble, and how large it is, is much harder to quantify than past cycles. Timing the end is probably a guess at best.
@zerohedge We may have reached the point where adding the word “quantum” to a prospectus is the 2026 equivalent of adding “.com” in 1999.
The technology is real. The enthusiasm may not be.
The Trillion Dollar Grift
The smartest grifter in the room never steals a trillion dollars at once.
He shaves off $200 million a year. Quietly. Predictably. Just enough to get rich, never enough to trigger panic.
Then he wraps himself in $800 million of legitimate business.
Some he owns. Some he feeds. Some just learn not to ask questions.
Soon, the clean money depends on the dirty money.
The vendors get paid. The lawyers bill. The consultants advise. The donors donate. The bankers finance. The politicians smile.
Nobody wants to kill the grift, because too many legal livelihoods are now drinking from the same river.
That’s how corruption stops looking like crime and starts looking like society.
Respectable. Networked. Protected.
And that’s why the grift never ends on its own.
Because by the time people notice the parasite, the host has learned to love it.
@SteveHiltonx@Schwarzenegger Every great comeback begins with an honest look in the mirror. California’s best days don’t have to be behind her.
Less ideology. More results.
Less division. More solutions.
The Golden State still has plenty of gold left in it. ☀️🙏
The world doesn’t watch California because of its politics. It watches because California has always been a preview of the future.
The question isn’t Democrat or Republican. The question is: can families afford to live there, can businesses thrive there, and can people feel safe there?
If the answer is no, change isn’t radical—it’s necessary.
