Wonderfully evocative use of space for @1SleepingDogs production A Scarborough Tale, about a fisherman and his herring wife. Market stalls transform into fishing boats, ghostly voices echo through the vaults, and beautiful singing from Stephen Joseph choir #ScarboroughMarketHall
Only 4 shows left to go! Make sure to catch our fabulous show in the Market hall before it slips away! 7:30pm each night this week until Saturday! #AScarboroughTale
@1SleepingDogs visiting family in Scarborough, a flyer came through the door for “A Scarborough Tale” glad we ventured out - great use of space in the Market Vaults, strong writing & lead performances. My grandad & great grandad were fisherman so this resonates on many levels!
Yorkshire/NE folk, check this out: Staged throughout the magnificent Market Hall the audience will follow the story of John Brenton, a fisherman, and his wife Nancy, a herring girl, as told by professional actors, a community ensemble, and choir.
