@MakeRoomMama Want me to talk to my mama friends about how they kept their littles happy? I have quite a few that travel and dos so with time ones. I know they did snack trays filled with lots of different foods. I think they did stuff with tape and such…
@MakeRoomMama Awh, it takes some time for your body to make its way back to feeling like your body. Time is hard to find. It took me a while to find my way back to my fitness journey. Take a look at Yoga with baby videos on YouTube. Could help getting some exercise done with baby!
@Leyleaves It’s also ok to feel as you feel! There’s no shame in it and I’m proud of you for acknowledging it. The big thing is that it doesn’t rob you from enjoying yourself. It’s hard when you plan things and it doesn’t go that way. In reality it happens quite a bit as a parent.
@Leyleaves Each baby has its journey as does each parent. One parent may not be able to breast feed, while the other can. The same parent that may not be able to breast feed could have an amazing sleeper, but the other not so much. We each have things to work through as a parent.
@Leyleaves I find the best thing is to focus on the good and the wins. You have a beautiful baby girl that’s healthy and well fed. She’s growing so much and learning so much. I know it’s hard not to think about it, but comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t let it win!
@BookishGamer I so wish I could give you an answer. I looked up local classes and found people on Facebook. Maybe your local library has some stuff organized for kids? It can be a great way to meet someone and connect.
@QueenieandBlue I haven’t seen them all sadly, but if I MUST choose out of the ones I have:
Kiki’s Delivery Service
My Neighbour Totoro (my little loves Totoro)
Howl’s Moving Castle
But really, I love them all…
@HyperZenGirl It gets better! Those initial stages are mainly about survival. It took me a while to find a rhythm. ❤️ You’re doing an amazing job! It really is hard.
@Leyleaves @BookishGamer You can read both if you want! Take it as literature for your own curiosity.
I’ll DM you with more because this will turn into a novel.
@Leyleaves @BookishGamer None, tbh. Each child is very different. We had to go with the flow and let our little one lead the way. My perspective on sleep shifted so much. I read everything and even took on a sleep trainer that actually was the best help I ever had and she offered the most perspective.
