@DTDCIndia The matter is now being formally escalated through consumer authorities.

A basic courier service should at least manage honest communication and basic accountability. Apparently that’s too much to expect here.

This is Marcus, and his accidental service dog, Gunner.

Marcus served 3 deployments to Afghanistan. For years, he’s woken up at 3am, drenched in sweat, convinced he’s in back in Kandahar.

Gunner came to the family when his owner passed away, which was a neighbor of Marcus. On the first night they had him, Marcus had a nightmare, and Gunner immediately jumped on his chest, and laid on him. For the first time in years, Marcus didn’t thrash, and was able to just breath, despite almost 80lbs of weight on him. Gunner laid on him for 2hrs+ that night.

Marcus’s wife had urged him to get help for years. She was able to catch it on recording, to show to his counselor. The counselor told them what Gunner was doing was called “Pressure Therapy”…which is what PTSD service dogs are trained to do.

Gunner never had training. He just had instincts, and an instant bond. The term, “Man’s best friend” doesn’t cut it sometimes.

Empathy in any form towards any living being in suffering is not a trait not found in many.

Such videos just makes you believe that humanity still exists.

Bless his heart and soul. I hope his efforts don’t go in vain and the dog survives.

A homeless man walked into a vet clinic carrying a stray dog he refused to let die.

With no home and no certainty of his next meal, he had already cleaned the wounds with his bare hands so his pur friend wouldn’t suffer. That is what real wealth looks like.

Nikki Pradhan, helped him get to the clinic and she has been doing rescues like this quietly for years. She’s also been feeding and funding treatments on her own. But she cannot do it alone anymore.

She urges in need for fosters, adopters and people willing to open their homes, time or resources.

If compassion can live on the streets, it can grow into a movement in our homes.

Let this one act inspire many more.

BREAKING: K9 trooper Tyson of 2 Para Special Forces was shot while leading from the front in a high-risk counter-terror operation in Jammu & Kashmir.

He was the first to storm the terrorist hideout, took a bullet, and still refused to retreat. That is not just training that is valor.

Two extreme viewpoints were being discussed, one saying that all dogs should be killed, and the other saying that dogs should not be touched at all...When I was asked about this, I said that there can be a middle path as well. Measures such as sterilisation can be used to control the dog population, and several steps can be taken to reduce risks and ensure safety. I expressed this view because I am a veterinarian...Earlier, we believed that veterinarians had a very limited scope. That is not true. We should think on a much broader level...There should be a separate veterinary council, something I strongly believe is necessary. If decisions are to be made about animals, they should be made by veterinarians or animal science experts who have the required knowledge. The responsibility should be in the hands of those who understand the subject. Just as in sports, decisions should be taken by people from the sports field itself; similarly, it is not merely because I am a veterinarian, but because when people from a particular field lead that field, only then does it truly progress..."
