My date of birth feels like a celebrity to me. Whenever I see it written somewhere random, like on a movie poster or a milk carton, I'm like omg there she is! Ugh, she looks great :)

@delachimes Why do you men always love to spoil friendships? You just be wanting to sleep with your female friends. The moment I notice that my male friend be moving funny, I withdraw so much that he notices.
Till today, we still don’t know WHO GAVE THE ORDER!
No accountability. No justice. No answers.
Buhari, history will remember the young Nigerians who lost their lives that day.
For every young person who died at Lekki, we will not forget. 🇳🇬

don’t tell me “there’s other fish in the sea” those fishes don’t do what my fish does, they don’t even look like my fish. my fish swims a little different, kinda sideways, a little autistic. i like that fish. i want that fish
This is exactly how I feel. Support whoever you want to support. Sing their praises, defend them, campaign for them, and do whatever you want. Nobody expects everyone to support the same candidate. But if you have the voice to defend this government at every opportunity, you should also have the voice to call them out when they fail. You cannot be loud in their defence and suddenly develop selective amnesia when Nigerians are bearing the consequences of their policies.
During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu stood in Ogun State and told Nigerians complaining about fuel prices not to worry, that he would reduce them. The day he was sworn in, fuel prices tripled. Now, barely three years later, we are talking about prices around ₦1,300.
Over three years in, can anyone honestly say the cost of living is better?
Yet some people are still more concerned about defending the government than confronting the reality Nigerians are living with.
Beyond that, there are legitimate concerns about the priorities of this government, from healthcare and education to the general welfare of Nigerians. These are the things we should be questioning, regardless of who we support.
Where is your voice when people are genuinely suffering?
If your voice only comes alive when someone criticises this government but disappears when Nigerians demand accountability, then you are not holding the government to any standard. You are simply defending your preferred candidate, no matter the cost.
Support your candidate all you want, but please, let your conscience not disappear simply because it is your preferred candidate in power. When people complain about the hardship, you don’t always have to jump to the government’s defence. Sometimes, Nigerians are genuinely suffering, and that alone should matter to you. If you can find your voice to defend them, you should also find your voice to demand accountability from them. That is what fairness should look like.
Your loyalty to a politician should never be greater than your concern for the people living with the consequences of their decisions.
There's this particular account that, anytime I come across her tweets on my TL, it's always one of these three things:
Bodyshaming.
Denigrating a profession.
Bragging about absolute bs.
Bitter Keren indeed.😅
I discovered Fireboy during the 2020 lockdown. Every day while going to the bathroom, I streamed his album LTG. Ever since, I’ve listened to his albums and singles.
While living in an apartment in Abbeyhood, I influenced my landlord because his songs were always on repeat. One day in 2024, I woke up to him playing Adedamola.
Fireboy’s London concert was my very first. I made a video of every one of his songs and posted them here on Twitter.
I love Fireboy so much; if you know me, you can tell.
My Apple Music end-of-the-year wrap always have Fireboy has top 3! That’s how much I listen to his songs!
Yesterday I started streaming Zuko!
But Zuko? I really don’t know what to say. I need Fireboy to stop smoking and give me the songs that made me stick with him.
I love him regardless.
I've tried to stop replying so fast because I realised some people dont like it, but my problem is I'll forget I ever saw your text if I don't reply immediately I see it.
I admire the purity of your thoughts: they are never polluted by the slightest trace of reflection or lucidity. If one day you were accused of intelligence, know that I would plead for your innocence.
