@KamalasLaughs @DailyLoud Do you think so? I admit other countries have reduced the volume of illegal drugs (often times simply by decriminalizing - which I would argue shouldn’t count) but demand will always be there. I think addiction is too baked into human society to remove at this point.

Well, the US will not fix the gun “problem” because it’s baked into our constitution. Literally the second thing written down after freedom of speech was the right to own firearms. Not saying I support or don’t - but it will never change. Thus, still leaving the problem as is. The “war on drugs” is very different than running a military operation in another country. It’s has to be somewhat obvious that is the case.
